This is a delightful book that tells the story of the long life of a certain horse weathervane. It is informative on how weathervanes work and their importance. The weathervane in the story has a very realistic history. The color illustrations in the 1970 edition by Erik Blegvad are excellent. The end papers are beautiful illustrations of actual famous antique weathervanes.
