Weathervane assembly spacers are designed to help emulate European weathervane assemblies. The assembly is the portion of the weathervane below the rotating figure that is made up of the post, compass points, and globes. Many European assemblies include a turned or spindled post instead of the plain straight post. The added detail is a more complete addition to the overall look of the weathervane. Standard posts look stick-like, but  "turned" posts are extremely expensive to produce. Our spacers hides the stick and creates the illusion that the post is "turned" or spindle-like at the fraction of the cost of a turned post. Spacers just slide onto your 3/4" weathervane post and fill the space between the balls and compass and ball and roof. Ferro weathervanes is the first and only weathervane company to offer decorative spacers to hide the post. Assembly Spacers are polished solid cast brass. Spacers are for 3/4" posts only. Spacers are sold in pairs. Most set-ups require 3 to 4 spacers. Decide whether one or two pairs of spacers will achieve the desired effect in your installation.
